Michigan has 15 public universities committed to providing the finest education and preparation for private and public sector careers. These institutions are consistently judged to be among the finest in the U.S. by employers who actively recruit graduates on a regular basis. All are fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the primary regional university accreditation association. Many of the programs and degrees offered by Michigans public universities have also been accredited by the leading professional accreditation associations in their fields, such as the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the Association of Collegiate Schools and Colleges of Business, the American Chemical Society, the national Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and many others.
- "Michigans public higher education system is clearly one of our states crown jewels. With some of the finest research and training institutions in the world, we have developed a reputation for excellence and innovation.
