Baccalaureate College-Diverse Fields is the Carnegie Class for a very specific type of Baccalaureate College. Generally, Baccalaureate Colleges are those that award less than 50 master’s degrees each year. If less than half of the Baccalaureate College’s undergraduate degrees are bachelor’s degrees, or if most of the bachelor’s degrees awarded are for majors outside of the arts and sciences, Carnegie puts the college in the Carnegie Class of Baccalaureate College-Diverse Fields.
