Presidents Council Committee Structure |

| Representatives from each campus who serve on Council committees give attention to specific agenda issues and; selectively, provide recommendations for consideration by the presidents and chancellors.
Major roles of the Council include: development of positions with respect to state appropriations for higher education; review and monitoring of legislation; collection of data and dissemination of reports; academic program review, with specific attention to ensuring programmatic quality and unnecessary duplication; interaction with state agencies and mainline education organizations to promote academic standards and cooperation within Michigan's broad and diverse education community. The Presidents Council has eight subordinate committees and three subcommittees to address each of its roles. They consist of administrative members of each university whose experience relates to the jurisdiction of the committee.
